Overview

Following the attacks on 9/11, the federal government passed a law (Check21) that would allow for clearing of deposits through the Fed via check image rather than the physical check.  This has many revenue and profit generating implications to the bank as they are profiting based on volume and float.

 Solution

With the assistance of SSi onsite presence and an offshore development and management team, a successful solution was created and implemented with ongoing support of an offshore team for production purposes.  SSi was involved in the initial planning and architecture of the solution, working closely with onsite employees to gather detailed functional and technical specifications, which were then sent offshore for analysis and development.

Throughout the development and testing cycles of the project, SSi staff, onsite with the client acted as liaisons between onsite client staff and the offshore team.  This proved to be a successful solution which enabled round the clock development and testing, quick issue resolution and quick deployment using the most advanced architectures and security to ensure that client information is kept confidential and secure.
