Overview
The client had recently completed a multi-year, multi-site implementation of Oracle’s eBusiness Suite (eBS) Product. As each site deployment was driven primarily by a global template of the Oracle solution, requirements that were unique yet critical to local operations were overlooked. Additionally, aside from the global template which was common to all sites, very little additional effort was budgeted for system integration across site deployments. Upon completion of the implementation, the client was faced with the added challenge of not only ‘localizing’ each site deployment, but also providing tighter integration of processes, functionality and data between sites.

SSi provided an onshore team in China acting as the liaison between the US based client project team and the client’s China operations. Leveraging our knowledge and experience with local business practices and regulatory requirements, we helped modify and enhance the base Oracle configuration to accommodate the needs of the China operation, while also improving the integration of local business processes with those of the US operation.
